Juniper Rose is an artist, musician and designer based in Vermont. She has worked professionally as a sound designer, composer, music producer, graphic designer and writer, among many other roles and contributions to all forms of art and media. Her work also includes an array of independently released and produced music albums, zines and video games.
Growing up as a guitarist in the punk scene of New England, she also spent her youth experimenting in creating electronic music, writing science fiction and exploring visual art, leading to a lifelong dedication to building a varying body of work as a multi-disciplinary artist. As a musician, she has performed and toured with numerous acts as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, including the genre-queer singer-songwriter outfit Sons of an Illustrious Father. Her recent work includes composing and sound design for dance and performance pieces, creating soundtracks for the BEMOVING productions "Oddments" and "Dance in the Park."
In 2026, Juniper Rose obtained her degree in design and media from The Community College of Vermont to expand their portfolio as a visual artist and designer. Their body of work has now grown to include visual arts including graphic design, photography and digital art. She continues to experiment in film editing and game design and is currently working on a console remake of the 2019 space-shooter Space Unknown as part of a collaborative team called Crude Dark Matter.
Her work ranges from self-explorative writing to electronic dance numbers to comedy fueled variety shows. She operates with a loud voice for queer rights, social justice and environmental action, which has been developed through her roots in punk communities and activist movements. She remains a performer at the root of work and can currently be seen in the aspiring broadway show “Club Liza & Nijinsky” in the role of Jill.
